PLEASE READ: New info about Port of Barranquilla
This port is located in the Magdalena River about 22 Km from Bocas de Ceniza, the river mouth. It can handle up to six vessels at the time, the port is next to a free zone.
This port is operated for multi purposes including loading coal, coke, steel among some others. Max permissible draft is 30 feet FW HOWEVER it is important to keep in mind that the draft is variable depending on river condition and dredging efforts.
