ECOPETROL (CARTAGENA)
Ecopetrol operates three terminals which are:
  • Refinery Terminal
  • LPG Terminal
  • Nestor Pineda Terminal

 

Refinery Terminal

Refinery Terminal is located at 10º19`09``N Latitude and 75º30`42`` W Longitude and consists of a `T` loading platform with trestle connection to shore, four breasting dolphins and two mooring dolphins. All these facilities are used for receiving crude oil, gas oil, white and shipping refined products.
The water depth alongside is 39 feet and can receive tankers up to 85.000 DWT, either empty or partially loaded to a maximum draft of 37 feet 06 inch salt water.

LPG Terminal

LPG Terminal is located at 10º19`0``N Latitude and 75º30`5``W Longitude. Products that are loaded at this terminal are Butane and Propane. The terminal is capable to attend gas carriers with a dead weight of 4.100.
Restrictions and other relevant information
  • Maximum LOA 110 m
  • Maximum Draft 6 mts STERN and 5 mts BOW
  • Maximum permitted SWSD 37`06``
  • Loading rate 1.800 BBLS/ HR
  • Connections 1 ARMX6 inches
Terminal operates 24 hours a day all year around.
No slops/ ballast water facilities.
Pilotage is compulsory.
Use of tugs is compulsory for vessels over 2.000 DWT.
VSL must arrive with sufficient ballast to permit safe handling in the port.
 
Tank cleaning while VSL alongside is not possible.
Fresh water/ bunkers can be supplied by barge at anchorage.
No maintenance or repair to the ship such as welding or any other hot work will be undertaken, while at berth.
 

Nestor Pineda Terminal

Nestor Pinedo Terminal consist of an isolated loading platform, connected to shore by seven submarine pipelines, three breasting dolphins, and two mooring dolphins. These facilities are for receiving crude oil, shipping fuel oil and aromatics in tankers up to 85.000 DWT, either empty or partially loaded to a maximum draft of 37 feet 06 inch.
