LBH COLOMBIA LTDA is a COLOMBIAN-DUTCH company specialized as ship agents handling dry, liquid and general bulk cargoes. Thanks to the wide expericience acquired on the attendance of more than 6.600 vessels along of the last 18 years, this ensures efficient maritimes operations to our clients.
Our company began operations in January 1994, as a result of a partnership agreement between Mauricio Ibañez and the Lagendijk Brothers, with the objective to server and expands its activities in the promising Colombian port industry.
We are part of the LBH GROUP, a global dry bulk and liquid cargo shipping agency, with a global network of over 80 offices around the world. At each of our locations, we have LBH professionals ready to provide our clients with first class services.
We do not outsource our service to subcontractors, but only work with LBH Group staff. When LBH is involved, the LBH service level is guaranteed. Our overall presence covers Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela and Switzerland, where it has recently opened a shipbroker office, mainly focused on capes fixtures.
We actually have offices in Cartagena, Coveñas, Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Puerto Bolivar and Bogotá. As ship agents, we place in every port our own well trained and experienced staff, ready and capable to attend all types of dry or liquid cargo in bulk. We also have presence on the Pacific Coast at Buenaventura’s port.
Our role as agents is not an assistant but a protagonist at the port. We could summarize our work as a coordinating body of services on behalf of our clients; we are hired to assist the activities related to the ships such as arrival, stay in port and departure and also we attend all its needs during its operations.
